The Bible and its Scientific Facts
1. The Bible teaches the Earth is Round.
Job 26:10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
The word “compassed” comes from the Hebrew word “chuwg” which means circle or sphere.
Proverbs 8:27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
Isaiah 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; Who stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
2. The Bible teaches that the earth rotates.
Job 38: 12-14 (God is asking Job a question) 12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; 13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? 14 It is turned as a clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.
3. The Bible teaches the earth free floats in space.
Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
Long ago when man thought the earth was flat and that the sun rotated around the earth, the Bible had it right all along. Infact when Christopher Columbus in 1492 went sailing across the ocean; man and scientist of the day for the most part thought the earth was flat. Interesting that the book of Job was (according to many scholars) written some 1,400 years before the birth of Jesus.
4. Everything is made of things which do not appear.
Hebrews 11:3
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

The writer of Hebrews understood this fact some 2,000 years ago. Everything is made of atoms except energy. Atoms are invisible to the naked eye. An atom is made up of even smaller particles called protons, neutrons and electrons. Modern science didn’t fully discover the atom until about 100 years ago. Although they had their theories.
5. The Universe is Expanding
Job 9:8
He alone spreads out the heavens, And treads on the waves of the sea;
Less then 100 years ago man didn’t even know there were other galaxies outside the Milky way. In 1925 Edwin Hubble discovered that there is even more galaxies beyond our own. Then in 1929 Edwin Hubble discovered that these galaxies are moving away from each other giving us an expanding universe.
Isaiah 40:22

Isaiah 42:5
Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it:

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;

I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

6. Heaven and Earth will wear out.
Isaiah 34:4
And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.
Second Law of Thermodynamics/Law of Increased Entropy Everything is losing energy or wearing out.
Isaiah 51:6
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner, but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
7. Life of the Flesh is in the Blood
Leviticus 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for the souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Up until the 1870s bloodletting was still being practiced by some doctors. Today we now know that blood carries oxygen and fuel to every cell of the body. There is around 30-40 trillion cells in the human body. Approximately 2,000 gallons of blood is pumped through the body every day. When a person is cut and is bleeding, the blood will form blood clotts at the injury site to stop the bleeding. If a patient goes to the hospital for a medical emergency, one of the first things a nurse will do is draw the patients blood to run tests. The blood test results can tell the doctor if the patient has an infection, disease, cancer or even a current heart attack. In fact hospitals will replace a patients blood in cases of blood loss or blood component loss. The life of the flesh is truly in the blood.
