As I’m sitting here watching and listening to the fireworks, I have noticed that this day no longer has the same significance it once did. I can remember when I was a child sitting on a blanket with my family watching the festivities. Or how it did when I raised the stars and strips in foreign lands while serving this same country. It no longer gives me a sense of pride in being an American. This country no longer protects its children or its women. Evil goes after the innocent like it always has. The whole country feels like it’s upside down. Evil permeates every single part of society. Good is bad and bad is good. I hear people ask from time to time, “Where is God, how come He doesn’t help us?” When this country has told God to get out of our schools, get out of our institutions, get out of homes and get out of our lives. God has left us to our own demise. We said; we don’t need you anymore! We have our fancy cars, our cable TV and internet. We don’t like your rules. We have our evolution so we won’t feel bad when we sin. You get the point, I could ramble on and on.
As believers in Christ Jesus we don’t belong to this world anymore. We are the bride of the living God. We are citizens of heaven living in a foreign land. We are ambassadors of Christ.
